Blog post #10: An Introduction to Our NEW Dining Chairs

Having launched our family business in 2020, we dedicated the last four years to perfecting the Still & Bloom staples – coffee tables, dining tables, console tables, shelves and garden furniture. Only then did we feel the time was right to expand the collection.

Creating a new range of dining chairs that are not just beautiful but functional and sustainable was a natural next step for us. We are constantly asked about the chairs in our photos, and it was frustrating that we couldn’t offer something that was made by us and designed to complement our tables.

Now, thanks to our wonderful customers, we’re in a position to make this a reality. And we are hugely excited to introduce our specially curated set of four designs on 28th June.

We’ve learnt a lot in the process, from creating the initial sketches to travelling up to Chelsea Harbour Design Centre to find the right fabric, all the way to our big three-day photoshoot in rural Kent at the end of May, and we’re so proud of what we’ve created for you.

Our chairs are made using traditional artisan techniques, drawing on the talents of everyone at our Southampton workshop and showcasing our partnership with a bespoke chair maker. Importantly, each chair embodies our SLOW methodology, being handmade locally and created with sustainably sourced materials.

In the weeks leading up to launch day, we’ll be releasing more details about the collection and what makes each design special to us.

To begin with, we want to introduce the first two designs: Tuft and Knot.
